Our Story – The Path to SOKLA
For us, socks have never been “just socks” – they’ve been a way to solve real problems and make everyday life more comfortable.
Aleksandra has seen the world of sock manufacturing since childhood, growing up around her parents’ sock company and learning what truly high‑quality production looks like behind the scenes. In high school, she led a student company that printed designs on socks, and later worked in e‑commerce payments and logistics – experience that showed her how important reliable, well‑made socks are in people’s daily routines. From factory floors to online checkouts, she saw that when socks are designed thoughtfully, they can quietly improve how people feel throughout the day.
Aleksandrs entered the sock world more than 10 years ago when he founded his first company, KarmaSock, in Riga, Latvia, creating souvenir socks that carried stories, culture, and joy. That phase proved something important: socks are not just everyday items – they can spark happiness and make people feel special. As KarmaSock evolved, he began testing new ideas and developed military socks that were used by the Latvian National Guard and tested under combat conditions by the Latvian Military, showing how much engineering, materials and detail matter when socks have to truly perform.
Together, we started to notice the same gap: people with real foot problems – diabetics, seniors, travelers, and those with sensitive feet – were forced to choose between basic, low‑quality socks or clinical, uncomfortable and unattractive medical socks. We believed socks could do more: they could support health, be pleasant to wear, and look good at the same time.
That is why we created SOKLA.
SOKLA is built on decades of combined experience in sock manufacturing, product engineering and e‑commerce, crafted with the world’s best materials – merino wool, combed cotton, silver‑infused fibers, and advanced technical blends. Our mission is simple: to design socks that improve well‑being, support foot health, and make every step more comfortable, without forcing people to compromise on quality or style.
